Anne-Marie Duff is a London based British actress, best known for being cast alongside Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett in Notes on a Scandal, (2006). She was Lennon’s mother in Nowhere Boy, (2009), she was in The Magdalene Sisters, (2002) and starred alongside Helen Mirren and James McAvoy in The Last Station, (2009). More recently she had a lead role as Violet Miller in Suffragette (2015). She also had a long running role as Fiona Gallagher in the original award-winning, English TV series, Shameless, (2004 – 2013).
Here was another actor whom we were really, really pleased to get on our cast list. Anne-Marie played the lonely, private, slightly mysterious Lucy, the librarian, perfectly. I love watching her face when she acts. It moves very subtly and her eyes almost talk.
